Biographie

J'alterne depuis vingt-cinq ans des projets photographiques participatifs commandés par des institutions, des
théâtres, des collectivités, et un travail de vidéaste. En 2000, je réalise mes premières « histoires portraits ». Depuis, j'ai multiplié les expériences dans des champs sociaux très divers. En 2017, j'ai commencé une nouvelle série à la prison de haute sécurité d’Arles. Cette série d’images
a été exposée aux Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles, puis dans de
nombreux pays.Je collabore régulièrement avec des compagnies de théâtre,,ce qui a influencé ma pratique du portrait, un de mes thèmes récurrents. Je travaille sur des dispositifs scéniques autour de l’idée d’image-écran.
Depuis 2010, je collabore régulièrement avec la Fondation Abbé Pierre avec laquelle j'élabore des projets participatifs. Je suis membre du comité d’organisation du festival C’est pas du luxe, qui accompagne des projets artistiques et culturels au long cours, imaginés et construits entre artistes professionnels, personnes en situation de grande précarité et institutions culturelles.

Biography

For the last twenty-five years I have alternated between participatory photographic projects commissioned by institutions, theatres and local authorities, and video work.

I regularly work with theatre companies, which has influenced my practice of portraiture, one of my recurring themes. I work on scenic devices based on the idea of the screen-image.
Since 2010, I have been working regularly with the Fondation Abbé Pierre, with whom I develop participative projects. I'm a member of the organising committee for the C'est pas du luxe festival, which supports long-term artistic and cultural projects devised and built by professional artists, people living in extreme poverty and cultural institutions.
